Hey! I’m Jessica…

I’m a writer who loves learning new things and happily falls down any rabbit holes a story leads me to.

(For real, I will spend hours researching the strangest things…and I’m not scared of dangling prepositions, in case you didn’t notice. I’m more of a conversational kind of writer…)

I’m also the Executive Editor of Hamiinat, the magazine for the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians. I help bring to life stories about the Tribe’s contributions, heritage and vision for the future.

Before this I was Deputy Editor of the award-winning M life, MGM Resorts International’s magazine. I wrote and edited content about sustainable development, food and cocktail trends, wellness, art and the dining, nightlife and entertainment partners of MGM like NoMad, Delano, Bavette’s, Roy Choi, Cirque du Soleil and Eataly.

A few more things: I don’t use the Oxford comma, I think about traveling ALL DAY LONG and I live in San Diego with my amazing family and our dog, Honeysuckle Rose, to whom I often sing “You’re my Best Friend.”
